Phoenix, Arizona

A local buyer for Arizona's established service businesses.

I'm Nathan McCutcheon. I'm looking to buy one great Arizona company, run it for the long term, and look after the people and customers who built it.

Who I am

  • Based inGreater Phoenix
  • BackgroundOperations & product leadership
  • EducationMBA, University of San Diego
  • ServiceU.S. Army combat medic

For the last decade I've built and run large operations. Most recently I've led fulfillment and delivery programs at Amazon, including pharmacy fulfillment and same-day delivery, where the work comes down to reliable teams, clear processes, and keeping promises to customers.

Before that, I earned my MBA at the University of San Diego and spent four years as a combat medic in the U.S. Army. That's where I learned that the people doing the work matter more than anything on a spreadsheet.

I live in the Phoenix area with my family. I'm not building a portfolio to flip. I want to own and run one company here for the long haul.

What I'm looking for

Established, owner-run businesses whose customers come back year after year.

Service businesses

HVAC, plumbing, pest control, commercial cleaning, IT and managed services, and similar trades.

Proven and steady

In business 10+ years, with repeat customers, maintenance plans, or service contracts.

A real team

Roughly 10–75 employees. Founder- or family-owned.

Arizona first

Phoenix metro is home base; I'm open to businesses anywhere in the state.

What matters to me

Your people

Your team is the business. My plan is to keep them, invest in them, and give them a stable future.

Your customers and name

The reputation you spent years earning stays intact. No sudden changes that put relationships at risk.

Your timeline

Stay on for a while, step back gradually, or hand over the keys. We'll plan the transition around what you want.

Confidentiality

Conversations stay between us. Employees, customers, and competitors don't need to know until you decide.

How it works

  1. A quiet conversation

A no-commitment call to get to know each other and what you'd want for the business, now or down the road.

  2. A closer look

If it makes sense, you share basic financials under an NDA so I can understand the business.

  3. A clear offer

I put a written offer in front of you, with price, structure, and your role spelled out plainly.

  4. Diligence and closing

The deal is funded through personal capital and SBA lending, with flexible structures that can include seller participation.

Not a broker. Not private equity.

No broker fees. I'm the buyer, talking to you directly. You never pay me anything.

No five-year flip. I'm an individual buyer, not a fund. I plan to be the owner who shows up every day.

Thinking about what's next?

Whether you're ready now or just starting to think about it years out, I'd welcome a conversation.
